It makes neither grammatically correct sentences nor coherent sentences in Northern Sámi. It also introduced fantasy "translations" of sentences that did not exist in the original. This all makes me wonder what was used to train the model in the first place. By deploying this, the model will also get progressively worse as it is likely it will be retrained using the nonsense it spouts and that people will add to sewiki thinking it is correct Northern Sámi. This already occurs with various online MT services that offer "Northern Sámi" as one of the languages. Moreover, we already have an example with another Sámi language from the incubator where nonsense was added by someone who did not know the language to the point where the actual language community has not touched it in 12 years.
