Talk:Cavaddu/Cavallu
From Wikipedia
I suggest to delete this page. I've created Cavaddu and a redirection in Cavallu. The more logical is create pages with the names that the people will use in the search engine. In the article then can be explained that there are more names for the same (as now in Cavaddu). 80.58.36.42 21:42, 17 Feb 2005 (UTC) My idea was to create three pages: "cavallu", "cavaddu" and "cavaddu/cavallu", with a redirection from "cavaddu" and "cavallu" to "cavaddu/cavallu". In effect there are two main variants , i.e. "cavaddu" and "cavallu" in Corsican language. Then the main page "cavaddu/cavallu" would reflect this diversity adequately. I think such way would be consensual and in accordance with the non-bias requirement, i.e. not preferring such or such main variant. In search engines, people would use both forms, "cavallu" and "cavaddu".
- commonly in Wikipedia, the name of the pages are names most symiliar as you can find in a Encycolpaedia. You choose, but there are hundreds of English words ununderstable across de sea, and the English (and any other) never have done this type of article's names (see Car/automobile, check/bill, fall/autumn, gasoline/petrol, and a long, long, etcaetera). There is no conflict because of the two names apeear always in the text. 158.109.9.85 13:03, 18 Feb 2005 (UTC)
Let's try as you suggest: one indirection instead of two. And statistically, the two variants will head the same amount of articles. This variation is "dd" instead of ll".
